Applications are now being accepted for a new Youth Dance Scholarship program for boys ages 8-16.  
Sponsored by The Ballet Studio, the Youth Dance Scholarship program provides training in tap, jazz, hip
hop and ballet for qualified recipients, at a reduced rate -- ranging from no cost to 50% of
tuition and fees, for the 2009 school year.
Youth Dance scholarships are awarded based on financial need, dance aptitude and a steadfast
commitment to dance as an avenue to positive self expression, sound physical fitness, and greater self-
esteem.  The Ballet Studio’s Youth Dance Scholarship program is an outreach program committed to
providing sound dance technique to young boys in the Alexandria and surrounding area. Our teachers and
staff provide a studio environment that ensures each child the opportunity to achieve their goals and feel
proud of their accomplishments.

semester and Sept. 1 for the Fall 2009 semester.

Youth Dance Scholarships Guidelines:

Students may apply for the Ballet Studio’s Youth Dance scholarship by completing all of the following:

1. Complete and submit the Youth Dance Scholarship application form.

2. Provide Proof of Residency, proof of Household Income and letter of recommendation.

3. Attend a Youth Dance Scholarship audition class and the callback audition (dates TBA).
