Beginning her dance training at the age of six with a mixture of jazz,
ballet and tap, Anna Andersen narrowed her focus to classical ballet
in 1993 while studying with Andrea Hill, director of the Ballet Theatre
of Central Pennsylvania. Anna received a ballet scholarship to
Mercyhurst College's Dance Program in 1997 and chose to minor in
dance while also pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.
Upon graduation, she moved to Chicago, where she danced with
the Northwest Ballet Ensemble, performing soloist roles in
numerous ballets including The Nutcracker, Peter Pan, and Swan
Lake . Anna relocated to the east coast in March 2003 and she
brings more than 18 years of dance experience to The Ballet Studio.
