Erin Ryan, began studying dance and musical theater at the age of six. As a
teen she trained and performed with the Houston Metropolitan Pre professional
Dance Company and continued her dance education at the American Musical
and Dramatic Academy in New York. While on a career path that made dance,
acting, music and graphic design her focus, Erin studied rhythm tap at Broadway
Dance Center and Steps – also in New York. She continued her training with such tap
notables as Jason Janas, Chloe and Maud Arnold, Jason Samuels Smith and Bakari
Wilder, and went on to perform with the Metrotap Professional Tap Company.
Additionally, she recently played the lead role of Peggy Sawyer in The Arlington Player’
s production of 42nd Street. With the her career grounded in the arts, Erin says that
“Dance, Theatre, and Music are everything to me. I can’t imagine a more beautiful way
to live life.” She joins the Ballet Studio staff this Fall as Lead Instructor for the
Tap/Advanced classes
